Anyone on here living with daily anxiety and / panic disorder and has for a long time but has found a way to still thrive and enjoy life? I just need to know that’s possible lol. Been trying to get this stuff to go away for months now with medication, therapy exercise etc but I guess it’s just gonna be part of my day to day life now. I’m trying to stay positive and remember that many live with much worse and still live fulfilling lives. If that’s you, please send some encouragement my way.

After a bad accident I developed PTSD and panic disorder/GAD. I’ve had it for 7 months now. The best thing that has helped me is CBT therapy. I don’t like medication. I just don’t. 1.) I’ve been taking multivitamins everyday. Your body needs vitamins and minerals and they are a huge part of mental health. 2.) the common ground within fight or flight is movement. Get your blood pumping and your body moving. Dancing, walking, running, anything. Just move around! 3.) what you resist will persist. When negative anxious thoughts arise, try not to fight them. Let them come and have a conversation with your brain on why you feel this way and why it’s unreasonable. Talking yourself down from a panic attack is a lot easier then people think. 4.) mindfulness. Set a time before bed, maybe 30 minutes or so, to just sit and breathe slowly and let the thoughts flow. Don’t let them bottle up or push them down. It only makes it worse. Anxiety and panic attacks are natural. Our brains are just more sensitive and are in a state of fight or flight. It is not permanent. Trust me. It will go away sooner or later. It took me 7 months but I am finally starting to feel so much better. I can finally work again and I have been going out with friends for the first time in months. The only person who can help you is, you! Good luck!❤️❤️ message me if you need anything

I totally understand because I deal with it daily. I’m actually nervous that I’ve developed “Agoraphobia”. I used to go out with friends all the time but now I’m most comfortable and enjoy being home! I actually enjoy it. But I don’t think that’s a good thing. Lol. Nothing has helped me except staying busy. When I stay busy, I forget about the anxiety and the longer I forget the better. I fear going to places where I’ve gotten nervous before. I even stopped going to my hair dresser because I hate the anxiety I get there from feeling “stuck” when he starts putting the foil in my hair. I don’t take any meds because I’m afraid of them. There is something in a multi vitamin I found that may help tho. I researched it a lil. It’s called Inositol. I’ve also noticed a difference when I take Zinc. 😀

I know what your going through, you are not alone. I have days when I feel like I'm get better and then day I feel like I'm losing my mind with one panic attack after another. Medicine like clonazepam or low-azepam can really help with the panic attacks when they come on too strong. I don't know your. Personal beliefs but I have started going back to church and I have found that immensely helpful. Also you should check out these two apps Dare and the taping method. I use those both daily and found them vary helpful. Feel free to reach out to me if you need to talk. YOU GOT THIS!

I in no way am thriving. But I have found something that has helped my anxiety. I started taking some vitamins called Bioflavoniods and that was the only big change I made about 2 months ago. For the first time in years I was able to have an appointment and go to my Dr.s for a procedure with virtually 0 anxiety. Usually that would have had me really messed up for a week and get worse the closer it gets. The research of their effects on anxiety is still new so yea. But its promising and that wasnt even the reason I started taking them.
