my depression is at an all time low. my boss pulled me aside today to tell me that I'm not going fast enough and that I'm not learning fast enough ( I'm training to be a dental assistant) but I have been working harder than ever before and giving it my all. how is it still not enough? I just feel completely overwhelmed. should I quit my job or keep trying? she also gave me the option to work at the office in a lower capacity.

You obviously need to convince your boss you can do the job, if you want to keep it. But don't let yourself make up extra work - do your job, and only your job. I often find myself doing that, and making everything much more complicated than it needs to be.

I like what the previous commenter said about this being your choice. But, maybe "working harder than ever" isn't the right choice here. I've felt that I've been slacking lately at work, and pushing myself harder as a result. Staying late, working on my lunch, etc. But, I still wasn't getting a lot done, and it made me feel really bad about myself. And then yesterday, I had to leave early to take my cat to the vet. What do you know, I'm able to be more productive today, because I didn't push past my limits yesterday.
