I was wondering if anyone else is having the same or similar issues I have irregular periods and have been having pain in my abdomen uterus area for almost a year now my doctor says it's just hormones but won't check for anything else I had a 107 day period after my miscarriage in September last year and the pains won't go away there around my navel area

@danimarie214 please check out Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education on fb. They have a lot of research based information and a list of appropriately trained doctors to diagnose and treat endo.

I cannot stress heavily enough that you need to see a different doctor. What has occurred here is medical malpractice even if you don't have endometriosis - any good doctor is at least going to look into endometriosis and all other avenues before telling you you're fine. It sounds like you're not being taken seriously at all.

@Reddest update: so I went yesterday I am going to be getting a ultrasound done and a laparoscopy consultation to get it done and I had a pap done yesterday witch hurt sooo bad like everywhere she pushed hurt sooo bad cross finger everything goes smothly
@danimarie214 I'm so glad!!!! That you're getting actual tests done. Pap smears aren't comfortable but they aren't supposed to HURT. So hopefully they figure out what's wrong and you can finally get treated!!!

@Reddest thank you I really do appreciate it I will let you know updated and unfortunately I did get rescheduled due to her going on vacation I'm definitely in the look out for a new doctor ☺️🥰😇
That. Is awful. I suspect endometriosis, absolutely. It's agregious that your doctor hasn't looked into that. Your symptoms sound just like my mom's when she had endometriosis and her doctors ignored her for so long that by the time they finally looked she had ovary tissue growing on her liver and kidneys, and it was too late to save her uterus and ovaries at all. Please, please see another doctor and keep pushing until they do the test. Have you been consulting your primary care doctor or your gynecologist?

@Reddest my gyno I don't have a primary I've been trying to find a second opinion nobody takes my insurance and my mom also has fibroids and endometriosis my sister has stage 2 cervical cancer right now and I'm scared I could get it since it's in my genes
@danimarie214 it is in your genes. Endometriosis is commonly hereditary -- I'm super on the lookout for it myself. So ESPECIALLY if you have a family history of endometriosis, it's malpractice for your doctor to not be considering the possibility that it's the cause of your symptoms. I'm not as certain about cervical cancer being hereditary, but your gyno should be doing a (I think annual) cervical cancer swab anyway??? If not, again, that's not good at all. It sounds like it'll be difficult with your insurance but you NEED to find another doctor. Before this completely destroys your health. I don't mean to scare you, just to validate your concerns and give you the wherewithal to stand up for yourself.
