I'm working on avoiding certain foods but I need to see a gastroenterologist and dietitian

I really only get flair ups when I am extremely stressed out.

I do very bad but no one seems to care enough to help me get into a healthy lifestyle I can't do it on my own

Hopefully they did that. I wish you well. This is a horrible condition. 😥

Yes. I have had several flare ups over the years. My most recent ones were only a few months apart. Both of those required antibiotics, colonoscopy, etc. I have to be very careful diet and lifestyle wise to keep them from reoccurring.

@COMtngirl quick question - why did they do colonoscopies ?

@Shatima 💕because they wanted to get a better “view” of exactly what was happening in the colon and how bad the diverticulitis was and rule out microscopic colitis

@COMtngirl - I'm right there with you. I was having them way too often, then someone told me about Megaspore ProBiotic. It kept it at bay for two years and two months. I actually thought I had it beat. The frustrating thing for us is that it's a guessing game as to what causes our flare-ups. If we only knew we would certainly take the steps necessary to prevent them. I wish you well.

@Shatima - also it looks like not drinking enough water and a sedentary lifestyle plays a big role in flare-ups. At least we can do something about those! ❤️ Also, I will start taking Metamucil every day once this latest flareup subsides.
