Does anyone have any advice for reducing fatigue? I know that depression makes me tired with no energy but i’m so exhausted all the time and all I want to do is sleep. I sleep at night, but I never feel rested…my therapist thinks I might have CFS. I need to be more functional so I can get things done. Doing yoga daily helps a little right afterwards, but not long term. I’m so tired of being tired.

I feel this too a lot. My depression and anxiety are just so exhausting. Even when I can hold it together and deal with them, I’m just so tired and in pain. I told my therapist recently and she said I might have fibromyalgia or some other chronic pain ailment. So I’m in the process of trying to find treatment but it’s honestly been so hard to find a doctor that actually cares :/

Vitamins help. I'm not sure if it's placebo or routine. Like. I took my vitamins, now I start my day. It's really hard tho. I have insomnia, so I'm in a similar boat.

I’ve been to the dr a lot recently since I haven’t been feeling well and got many blood tests. I ended up having a GI procedure and they found chronic stomach inflammation. I also have tachycardia and palpitations. Other than that everything’s normal. I think CFS and POTS are possible, but I don’t think i’ll get diagnosed with anything since doctors are dismissive and tell me that all symptoms are bc of mental health. I ran out out my multivitamin and haven’t been having it lately, so I need to get it again. I was vitamin D deficient a while ago, so I take that daily. I also cut out caffeine consumption bc I also have anxiety and any amount triggers it. I plan on trying Vitamin B12 and Ashwaganda which have worked for others, so hopefully they will help.

i’m definitely not the right person to give advice for this, as my methods are probably not healthy. but i take a caffeine pill (i think it’s 220mg) every morning and when i start feeling drowsy (around 4-5 pm) i’ll drink coffee or tea (with low amounts of caffeine). then when it’s time to sleep, i’ll take 20mg of melatonin. the melatonin really helps my quality of sleep and i tend to not wake up as tired. i have relatively bad anxiety and the caffeine makes it 5 times worse, but it also gives u a sort of rush that zaps u awake.

Btw certain vitamin deficiencies also cause fatigue, vitamin D being the most common one. I also had very low vitamin D due to not going out bc of depression, that could be contributing it to it as well. But yeah make sure to rule out any vitamin deficiencies and everything of that sort as well as any sleep issued

Are you sure you don’t have any other underlying conditions? Like sleep apnea or anything that can disrupt your sleep quality or maybe lack of certain vitamins? Have you tried getting blood work done and ruling out any underlying condition that can be causing this? Usually before you’re diagnosed with CFS you have to get ruled out for all other possible causes. I suffer from chronic fatigue as well and I also thought I had CFS but I never thought it would be because I have a deviated septum and I always snore while sleeping so i have poor quality sleep which is why I feel so fatigued all the time. You should really check in with your doctor so they can rule out all other possible causes and maybe even refer you to a sleep study clinic if you suspect you may have some sort of sleep issue.

Hi there ✨ I’m in a similar boat as I have been diagnosed with CFS. I’m 99% sure it’s because of my untreated depression. Sometimes CF can be due to an imbalance in vitals, untreated or more severe mental health issues, or something else all together. The first thing a provider will most likely suggest is to get bloodwork done just to make sure your “vitals” are in balance. The next thing they would probably try to do is treat your depression (with meds if you choose) as that can sometimes ease fatigue. In my case I’ve tried many medications and none have really helped. I’m hoping to talk to my provider next appointment about trying a stimulant so I can function better in school and work. I know it’s frustrating and hard to get people to understand how much it impacts your life. I’m happy to talk to you in more depth if that would be helpful to you :)

Sorry I don’t have much advice for you, but I know that there are some meds that can be used for chronic fatigue syndrome, so I guess having that diagnosis may be helpful to you. I hope you are doing okay<333
