I have a ton of food restrictions and my dysautonomia symptoms get in the way of almost everything I do. A guy I like asked me on a first date but I don’t know what to do since going to dinner is nearly impossible and anything with flashing lights can trigger pots spells. Any suggestions for chronically ill-safe first date ideas?

Instead of a meal what about staying in and having some snacks and a board game or puzzle
Can you do something low impact like bowling or mini golf ? A coffee date can go well, you could get a tea, bookstores are fun to putz around in. Hope this helps and congrats on snagging the crush
Making a meal together at home can be an interesting date. My POTS also makes things difficult but from home not only can you better accommodate your POTS but also your GP diet. You can have a chair in the kitchen and the two of you can go slowly. And you can make different meals in case you arent able to have what theyd like to cook. And cooking is easier if you can cut up food and sit while some one else works over the hot oven. The food doesnt have to be super impressive, its mostly about working together and having time to talk in between.
