I'm Type 1 too! When I was a kid, before I was diagnosed, I would fall asleep on the toliet...A LOT.

Not very crazy but buses just provide the perfect environment to make me sleep. The amount of times that I've been on my way to work and other passengers who know where I get off have to wake me up so I don't miss my stop is uncanny

I was studying in an empty conference room and fell asleep sort of under the table. When i woke up there was a full on conference going on and i had to apologize and excuse myself, another time i fell asleep on a pool float at a party and my friends couldn’t find me hahah

We had to step away at our lab job working with prions because we were a few seconds from absolutely crashing.

I fell asleep in a library over night, at a party, and during the part of the sleep study you need to stay awake for

Middle of history class right in front of the teacher We were watching a video and a combo of the dark room, it being an afternoon class, and the noise of the video all made me conk out for like an hour. I think the teacher saw me but didnt wake me or say anything about it

I had a catapletic episode while walking in the middle of work before I quit. The room was open, so everyone could see! 😱

I fell asleep for about 20 minutes and had sleep paralysis in the doctors office waiting for them to come in with results- results were that I had Type 1 Narcolepsy 😂 it was very ironic

The most embarrassing would have to be at dinner literally my head fell into my pasta bc I passed out asleep and I had it all over me. So embarrassing 😳 but funny now 🤗

@IcecreamMoon thats the mental image people think of when they hear "narcolepsy" wow!! Mine is probably before in a lab class with tall tables and stools instead of chairs. The stool was backless and tall enough that i had to hop a little to get on it already (im short). I passed out, started fulling falling head first towards the tile, and then the guy next to me at the table literally caught my body midair. I woke up confused why he was hugging me and the entire class was staring in silence 😅😅😅
