Honestly I've been struggling with this disease for 28 years. I recently was put on a cgm, I've been diagnosed with all three types. First geatational, then T1, and after 12 yrs of insulin therapy, and 100 lbs heavier and 13.9 a1c they said I was T2.... I don't get doctors, the feel like pill pushers. The cgm. Is allowing me to see how certain behaviors affect my bs. Like COFFEE, no one has ever questioned my consumption of coffee.... but I am realizing it spikes it like crazy. And no sugar, just the sugar free creamer. I have since replaced coffee with green tea. Much better for me.

I agree it is expensive, but with all your medications (pills or insulin) always google coupons. I pay $80 for a 3 month of supply of insulin & my Janumet is $5 for a 3 month supply. Hope this helps someone! We are in this fight together. Stay strong šŖš½

The feels from this post. I'm due for more supplies soon, my wallet is flinching at the very thought. Why we have to pay so much for things that we absolutely need to keep us alive is beyond me.

@Cil Itās sad that they make money off of sick people. It makes me question who the actual āsickā ones are.

Good question. I didnāt choose the diabetic life, the diabetic life chose me!
@GunpowderMilkshake right lol I just spent 145.98 on meds and supplies
@Cmg123 Most of my supplies are covered by my insurance, which is nice. The problem that I encounter is never having enough on hand and having to be without my insulin for several days until the insurance is willing to cover it.

Being a diabetic is expensive because the cost of insulin and other necessary supplies, such as glucose monitors and test strips, can be high. Additionally, insurance coverage for these items may not always be sufficient, leading to out-of-pocket expenses for individuals with diabetes.
