Triggers can come from anywhere. And no one is more valid then another. Just be kind to yourself

I played the last of us 2 for the first time around a year ago and I get what you mean, you're not alone. Feeling a bunch after playing a game is the same as feeling a bunch after a book or a movie, it's totally normal.

I think especially with a game. Gamer girl here. You get so absorbed, attached and invested. Maybe start it over until you get bored and it will help you let go. ❤️

@ChrisTea yeah I got really attached and for some reason each character resembled me and most of their struggles, it's not like THAT'S ME kind of situation more like I can relate and feel their pain because I experienced what they've experienced for example having a mental breakdown in the bathroom lol but I'm gonna replay it to just try my best to cope with my feelings and thoughts
Anything can trigger emotions, especially something as mentally involved as a game. People often game to escape feelings like this, and so experiencing triggers during that down time can be overwhelming. Yes, it is normal to feel that way about a game. How you process the game does not mean your triggers and emotions aren't valid. 💙
@Leebit like I looked into the game, I knew what I was getting into but yet I feel like my mind unlocked memories I forgotten about or at least tried to hide away from myself, it's scary but thank so much..
@HyenaClan thank you for your advice it means a lot that people care to respond to my pleads.. :)
