my throat has been so sore for the last 6 months, I've tried cough drops and throat spray. I know a lot of it is my awful diet š« but does anyone have any tips to ease the dryness and pain?

Something that might help would be hot tea, root beer candy, and ginger ale
Sameeeee I had a super sore throat lately and a coarse voice. Nothing has helped me but I also have allergies lol not just GERD. You can try gargling mouth wash or salt water and later eat a spoon of honey and coconut oil.

Have you ever been test for sjorgen Syndrome? Plus you may want to see a specialist
I would avoid acidic food. But also avoid dairy, everyone saying milk I would suggest a dairy free milk.
Like everyone said. My throat felt better after I avoid acidic food that caused the soreness, like tomatoes and pineapples. But non caffeinated tea sounds like a good idea too.

Ask your doctor if pantoprazole will work for you. I take it before bed every night and it helps my GERD symptoms get under control. Also your diet is way important. Avoid spicy, acidic, and greasy foods. Also try sleeping on your left side as that will prevent the acid from coming back up. Hope this helps.

I love that milk works for you! It really goes to show how everyoneās bodies function differently and have their own needs! ā If the milk and cough drops donāt work I suggest actually cutting back on those. Dairy and cough drops have sugar in them which cause inflammation. I like to start the day with warm tea and no sugar and find it helps a lot personally.
Iām a big milk fan. Iāve also found that if I donāt sleep elevated at night, I wake up with a sore throat from the acid coming up. Ludens cough drops are great as well because theyāre not medicated. Honey is also good with some warm water.
Also if you are handy like i am ALWAYS keep TUMS on hand! They will help your heartburn.
Milk always helps mine. Also avoid spicy foods or really acidic foods like onions, oranges, lemons and limes.
