Whats the best way to deal with nausea? Seems like the nausea is a new symptom thats here to stay 🙃

Nausea and Vomiting
I've had nausea every day for a full year now and my GI keeps dismissing my concerns because it's "likely not related to Crohn's." I haven't found anything that completely takes my nausea away, so at this point I'm just trying to find ways to "live" with it. Sucking on ginger candies sometimes helps me temporarily. Some people also have luck with peppermint, but it seems to make my nausea worse! Starting omeprazole definitely helped the level of nausea I had each day (I'm not constantly laying in bed due to the "strong waves of nausea"), but it didn't entirely get rid of my nausea.
Also if the nausea is particularly strong and I don't want to vomit, either a whiff of rubbing alcohol or laying down with an alcohol prep pad in between my eyebrows seems to at least temporarily take away the nausea.
I hope you're able to find some relief soon!
thank you so much! I appreciate it! I will definitely have to try these!
I am prescribed the anti nausea tablets that er’s use that melt under your mouth one of those and I’m usually good sometimes it’s bad and I have to take two. It was easily prescribed to me so not sure why your drs would be dismissing your nausea it’s a huge symptom of my crohns. Along with abdominal pain/cramping which I’m prescribed dicyclomine for that and can take up to 4 tablets a day of whatever dose I’m on but get by with just two. If you want the anti nausea pill name I can give later if you want later.
Yes I may have the same perception several at home Also dicyclomine....wow so many suffer with this Condition.. praying for you.
I've used zofran before which does seem to help temporarily, it takes a little bit to start working which isn't always helpful if i'm nauseous in the moment. there have also been claims that dark soda like coke helps because of the phosphoric acid, but that's been debated and the exact results are unclear. i find it helps but i think it might just have to do with getting something in my body that i can tolerate because my nausea is very related to not eating. also, and i know that this isn't for everyone and can be hard to obtain depending on your area, i have found that marijuana helps greatly and makes it easier to eat, but again that's not for everyone.
yes Marijuana is a Must for me
with your zofran do you get the melt under your tongue version or tablets?
i've tried both, the melt under the tongue ones were pretty good for if swallowing pills is hard, but also sometimes having something sit in your mouth can also be hard. it very much depends but usually my doctor gives me the melt under the tongue ones
Cannabis helps me with nausea so much, I think it helps that I don't have to injest it, but whatever intake method will probably work, if cannabis is an option for you, I know it's not for everyone
