I recently had a mental breakdown. I am slowly getting better but one of the things I am struggling with is brain fog and forgetting things. This is not me and it scares me. Anyone else experience this?

Depression can quite literally give you brain fog. It clouds your memory according to a study so you're definitely not alone there! I struggle with a foggy mind myself and find it so hard to remember much.

I may be dealing with a mental breakdown at the moment and it’s been going on for like a week. My behavior has been unacceptable and is causing some problems in my relationship with my boyfriend. I hope therapy and psychiatry will help me figure out what’s wrong

@chickencraze I am the same way. Forgetting things like phone numbers and addresses that I have known for ever. It terrifies me

Yes, I've been scared that I'm having dementia or something. My short AND long term memories have been steadily getting worse to the point people think I don't care or am joking when I can't recall something obvious 😥

I have experienced this so much myself that I went to the neurologist for a full check up! Turns out it is mostly from stress and Fibromyalgia.

I went through a mental break down recently to but I am still trying to figure out how to get back to me. But I will not be myself cause I am going through a divorce.

Oh my goodness, yes. It's terrible. And scary. But be patient with yourself. You'll be you again, it'll just take take time. Be kind to yourself and let the things float away from you when needed. I still have these problems almost 3yrs after my wreck. I hate it. But the best the we can do for ourselves is remember that it wont last forever.❤️
