Has anyone found tying shoes to be a chore? Every day tying my shoes just becomes harder and harder. All of the blood rushes to my head when I bend over, my heart starts pounding and it's hard to breathe, and everything hurts. I get embarassed asking my boyfriend to tie my shoes for me because we don't live alone. Does anyone else have any tips or has anyone else found this to be a problem?

I also get dizzy reaching over or leaning down and I’ve found that the best way to combat this is to sit on the floor to tie my shoes. I also wear lots of slip-on shoes which helps me avoid the hassle altogether. But don’t be embarrassed to ask for help when you need it, we all need some help sometimes. 💗

Yes!! I get dizzy from leaning over so I’ve learned to either lift my leg up to myself while leaning on something or just sit on the floor and get up slowly

Sure for me it's not that bad but I try to help myself by first sitting for a while, then putting my leg on something that lifts it a bit like a chair and only then I tie my shoes. Hope it'll help🙏

I was in the hospital recently and they gave everyone these rubber shoe laces that basically turn any shoe into a slip on and I absolutely love them, here’s a link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TYLZMWX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_60E25M6SW3XJ6X1TJQGX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have this same issue, so I sit on the floor to get my shoes on! Leaning forward gets me out of breath, head pounding, feeling like I'm going to faint. I found that I can manage leaning over if I'm just slipping a pair of shoes on. If I have to tie my shoes, I have to sit on the floor or on a bench with my feet up.

I haven’t tied my tennis shoes for 1 1/2 years haha. I tied them that long ago real good and now I just shove my foot in there haha

I simply choose Velcro shoes for this exact reason. Saves me a lot of grief

While mine isn't as bad, I feel you. What I do is sit on my bed and put my foot on my bed to tie my shoe. Hope the reply's help!

I have needed help tying my shoes for the same reason. It's easy to feel bad about it, but it's okay. We didn't choose this life it's not your fault. 💕

yes I struggle with this too although it seems not as severely as you do. for me it helps to acknowledge that it is difficult, so I can take the time to sit down and not hurt myself. you don't have to be embarrassed about asking for help!! it really is difficult to bend over like that and it is not your fault.

I struggle with this a lot! I cannot bend over to tie my shoes, it’s too painful. I sit on a chair and put my foot on another chair to tie my shoes
