but just reminding myself that I’m not to blame also helps (it’s the system; it’s built for neurotypical people!!) especially as someone with ADHD as well, I have to remind myself that it’s ok to do things differently from other people, bc the study methods and work ethics of neurotypical students may not always be the best fit for me

I feel you! high school was very over stimulating for me, and I guess one thing I like about college is that classes are broken up more into smaller chunks so I have time to myself in between. but I am struggling majorly with burnout. I will say though that studying something I’m passionate about has helped. often I’ve found ways to cheat the system a little bit (for example writing a paper on a special interest, etc)

same here ✋ I really struggled with motivation and the workload, I'm still doing my classes because I don't want to lose all the progress I've done

As an autistic person I have a lot of school trauma and I did have to drop out of university because it was too triggering - so yeah I guess you could say I struggled with my studies!! I loved the topic but the environment didn't suit me at all and eventually I couldn't function to do my work. You're not alone - the system isn't designed for us and that can make things tough!!

What is the downside to you dropping out? Besides the fact that you won't get the qualification?

@Belle0fTheBall that i need my student loan - money i get to live bc i can’t work either and i won’t be able to support myself in this city so i would have to move countries away from my boyfriend

I feel you. I'm struggling but I'm also enjoying. Are you liking what you're learning? If not then it might not be right for you.
