What’s the quickest way to a POTS diagnosis? I’ve been diagnosed with MCAS, hEDS, and suspected POTS, all for at least a few years. My POTS symptoms are worsening and I need to seek treatment for this. But I switched my insurance so I’ll need a referral from my PCP no matter what. What should I ask for to accelerate the process?

A tilt table test is the fastest way to get a diagnosis
If your symptoms or worsening, don’t get a tilt table test. Doctors have been phasing this out as it can be dangerous. Bring all of your concerns up with your PCP and ask for a referral to either/both a cardiologist or neurologist. They should be aware that all three of these disorders are very common comorbidities. Diagnosis-wise, it’s safest to get a differential diagnosis by getting an echocardiogram and a Holter monitor for a few days to rule out any other possible issues.

@Arin922 do I ask my doctor for just this test, or a cardiology referral?
