Someone is trying to steal credit for my invention idea

I really don't know what category this is but here it goes. I told someone about a invention I had a idea about and now they are trying to take the credit for it the bad part is I thought I could trust this person and it is really hurting my feelings what should I do about this. TIA for any and all suggestions.

        @DragonLady47 I can understand that. You deserve better, they have wronged you, the best thing you can do is cut them out of your life completely, put it all down to a really awful experience and try your best to put it behind you. I know it's easier said than done x

      I would say cut them out of your life because they are just going to hurt you and if you have papers and prototypes use those if they try to make the invention, you can use that against them.

        @QueenOfTakeingMeds okay but I had not actually drew it up yet the idea I have I don't think can be drawn out for the prototype I am still working on it
