Vent time, i need to spill and need advice too. I'm literally at my wits end here. so much is piling up on me. I've been at one of my jobs for 6 years, they bring in new hires (beginning of school year) and they are making what I make now.. I asked for a raise and was denied as they can't afford to pay me more. we had a coworker quit que to mental health and I was forced to take over so I'm working double what I should. we had a 3rd staff who only can work one day a week as at his other job he is getting 60+ hours a week so it's not pheasable to work more. but now they are trying to make him work 4 days. week and take time away from me. I am full time he is part time. they constantly are talking about me behind my back and making up @#$% about me. I'm so done. I don't want to leave but I honestly don't feel as i have any other option. I have tried talking to the upper but all he does is lie and make stuff up. staff is dropping like flies since he joined the company. I love my job and want to continue being here, but ??? I'd love to private message anyone, I'm just so leary about opening up publicly.

You can talk to me if you're still seeking opinions
You are absolutely welcome to DM me. I had to quit multiple jobs due to mental health reasons, and they disrespected me (no raises after being there years even though they kept bringing in new executives and paying them 100k+). I know exactly what you are going through!
@Bookworm23 messed you
And it might be a good idea to look at other jobs my aunt is going through a similar situation rn
My dms are always open
Sounds like the company brought on someone that has made the environment quite toxic for you (and sounds like others, for various reasons). Definitely a hard place to be in. Its hard to do most things when higher ups will listen to higher-ups more than the workers even in unison. Making the decision to leave especially due to culture change is often hard there are a lot of things entwined (like I imagine benefits). I hope you can process things and make the decision that is best for you.
@welpe thanks!
You can message me if you need to! I understand that feeling all to well!
Do y’all have a union? If not you can take your concerns to the labor board who deals with employees who are being done wrong by their employer. Sounds like some discrimination. And did they give you explanations for why you can not have a raise? Message me if you have any other questions. 🙏

It seems like you're in a difficult situation with your job, feeling overworked and undervalued. It's understandable that you might be considering leaving, especially if communication with upper management is not effective. If you love your job but feel overwhelmed, it could be helpful to explore other options within the company or consider looking for a new job that provides a better work environment and appreciates your skills and experience.
