I thought I was over my ex, but I think about him and it ends up hurting all over again. he cheated on me, and I just can't get over it. when I love someone, I really put my all in it and I don't understand why he did it. I was such a genuinely kind person to him. I changed my way of communicating for him, and I was so healthy towards him. and he cheated on me with his ex. we only dated for a month, and it's been over a month since we broke up. I don't know what's a worse thought, the possibility that he never loved me or the possibility that he fell out of love with me in such a short time. it hurts so bad. I thought he really did love me, I guess I was wrong. how long did it take for you guys to get over your ex? (ps. sorry for the really long post)

Next time don’t put so much effort into changing for the guy. Just be yourself and require him to either like that or leave. It helps build self confidence which in turn is attractive. If you want to change your ways, do it for yourself, to be a better person for yourself. My guess is this man didn’t love you like he led you to believe.

I had the same kind of thing. I asked for us to spend more time together and actually do stuff instead of sex and he broke up with me 💀. I cried about it for 10 minutes and then was fine, but since it’s happened I haven’t had any crushes or emotional feelings like that towards anyone.

i don’t have an ex but i’m still not over a guy after 7 years 💀 so take all the time u need !! there is no set timeframe where u need to get over ur ex, so if u take a month or a year or even 10 yrs, it is PERFECTLY valid. we aren’t in a race, so don’t force urself to get over someone. it’s ok to wallow in the heartbreak for however long as long as u come out of it eventually. cliche but time really does make things hurt less. for now let urself be hurt n feel what u need to feel !
