Dealing with Intrusive Thoughts: Seeking Advice

I have before — it’s why my therapist thinks I have “pure-o” OCD. The thoughts flare up a lot when I’m having a hard time mental health wise or when I’m very stressed and will calm down some when I’m less stressed. Learning some coping skills during therapy has helped some, I think. But I do understand how distressing those images can be. I’ve had some pretty bad ones and they’re SO upsetting.
