Crying Everyday on Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal)

Most psych meds have a disclaimer that you may get worse when starting the medications. Pay attention to it. Tell your prescriber what’s happening. And remember that psychiatrists are trained in the chemistry of the brain and meds. Most regular doctors are Not!! I learned this the hard way so I want to tell others.

It’s probably the hormonal/chemical changes that have you crying but talk to ur doctor and see if you can get switched

That has happened to me on Prozac , Paxil, Wellbutrin, Cymbalta, Trazadone, Zoloft and Lyrica. Cried multiple times a day , bedridden and suicidal for weeks at a time. If you have these symptoms , tell your Dr and stop taking them. It took me close to 2 weeks to feel halfway normal again. I haven’t felt normal since my diagnosis 23 years ago. 😔

I did try it but it did not do anything for me. :/

That is one med I haven’t been on😔
