It never is. I just gave up the only support I have in dealing with my children because he sexually assaulted me in front of my kids. I have no idea what I'm going to do if I get seriously ill again or my husband ends up in the hospital and needs me to be there (he is missing a lung, has mental health issues and has had a heart attack, so it isn't like he's able to be much support- in fact I needed the caregiving support in dealing with him too). I know it isn't easy. I also know the stress won't get better until you get out of whatever situation is causing it- whether that be a physical interaction or a mental pattern you are repeating.
Not that easy
I don't know your situation but it's entirely possible you're NOT away from the trauma. I kept telling myself I should be healing recently also and found my progress had stopped and then I realized it was because I was still being abused. I cut my abuser out of my life two weeks ago and life is starting to get better.

I agree but for me it feels like nothing stopped but a different types of trauma
If you're going through continued trauma, your condition probably IS progressing. Otherwise, to my knowledge, it isn't likely though it's totally possible to stop healing if you aren't putting in the effort.
