My medication causes me to have insomnia nightly. I sleep for a few hours then my brain is ready to wake up, but my body could sleep for hours on end. I wake up early, exercise daily and have a pretty healthy diet, despite feeling like a zombie constantly. The only things that have helped me is to do as much physical activity as possible at the middle/end of the day (bonus points if it’s outside in the sun), processing any negative feelings or stress (to help me relax), using some kind of cannabis (makes me sleepy and relaxes my mind), and putting on a show, movie, or YouTube video that I’ve watched before (noise to quiet my thoughts, and familiarity/comfort). I’ve recently started using CBD to help me fall asleep when my brain isn’t tired. So far, it definitely makes me sleepy, but it doesn’t help me stay asleep (as I had expected, but just fyi). Not sure if any of this is informative but the main goal is to make your brain tired lol

To be honest what helps me is putting the Disney movie Fantasia it bores the heck out of me and in a way it kinda entertains my brain from getting to my phone and I have my tv to shut off at a certain time and before heading to bed I drink Valerian tea knocks me out.
same to you and thank you so much feel free to message me if you need anything I'll answer asap
In the long term, diet really affects your sleep cycle. Eating healthier helped me a lot. Short term, (and I may get this wrong so I'd look it up because it's been a while since I tried it) wake up super early (like 5-7 am) whether you want to or not then eat a big breakfast, exercise, and then start fasting at 1 pm. Then you try to go to bed at like 8 and eat breakfast that morning. Ideally, this would work and you really should only try it once, but hopefully it helps! 🤗💕
@Prince_Eek thank you ! Will definitely try this out!!
@Pridefrog Of course! It was no problem 🤗
These are my personal stuff which might not help but just to give ideas. I NEED sound on 24/7. Usually let's plays bc it has a lot of different noises happening at the same time which distracts my ears and brain. If I'm not tired I'll read comics on my phone, with a blue light filter, and some chips or candy to eat as much as I want but slowly. If I'm paranoid and cant sleep I have a night light on. Peanut butter toast helps me too. Peanut butter gives natural sleepy chemicals and the heat from the toast calms the insides (lol). You can try medications prescribed or over the counter but I dont like them cause I'm paranoid that I'll need to wake up but cant cause I'm drugged lol.
@Lucas.exe sorry to get back so late thank you! I definitely use sound also !! Music is usually my go-to. And the others seem very helpful so thank you!!
@Pridefrog no problem I appreciate the response haha. Music works too but I tend to sing the music in my head which keeps me up. My go tos are GTlive, jacksepticeye, Eddievr/special edd, juicy, or kitboga is hilarious. Eddie and juicy do sware alot but Eddie's are mostly censored. Just find what works for you theres no one size fits all. Rooting for you!
I find doing a little bit of exercise to be helpful. Something like full body stretch yoga drinking a camomile tea. Or attempt to jog inplace for go for a walk. It's difficult to do when tired but that extra bit of tiredness should help you fall asleep!
@ellinoris thank you. Will definitely try these !!
@Pridefrog anytime! Always trying ti help my fellow insomniacs <3
