Does anyone else get extremely tired because of their chronic pain? I can't tell if me constantly being tired of related to my pain and fatigue or something else. but i'm leaning towards my pain, is this normal? I get 7-8 hours of sleep a day.

Chronic pain is sooooo exhausting. Even if I’m just sitting on the couch or even laying down all day I still end up being really tired no matter how much I sleep

Yes, especially if my pain levels hit higher even for just a few minutes I can feel completely drained after even if it subsided.

Yes in so tired i reserve my 800mg ibuprofen to get rid of my pain for 6 hrs when i need to leave the apartment but i probably do too much cuz when it wears off i feel horrible and takes days to recover.

That's so normal . I think chronic pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia are all linked. At least for me all 3 came on at the same time. I take Adderall which helps the fatigue.

I get worn out by my pain very quickly too. Winded too. I think it kinda goes hand and hand with it. I just repeat to myself "you are bigger then your pain" when I need to push through it all.

being in pain is exhausting. your body is spending extra resources trying to heal an injury that doesn't actually exist, like revving the engine of a parked car. it doesn't make the car go, it just wastes gas, and if you're doing that all the time, you'll need to refuel a lot more often

@wise That makes a lot of sense actually, i just started physical therapy again and i feel like that's also taking a lot of energy out of me. Thank you for explaining that to me.

Chronic fatigue syndrome is very common alongside many chronic pain/health issues
