I'm into meditation and walking daily. What does everyone on here do to stay healthy mentally and physically?

@lotusblossom12 Tai chi and qigong are very similar in benefits. Tai chi is more movement based, qigong involves breath and energy work. I do a hybrid, Tai chi with a chi kung practice. I would expect both practices improve executive function, you can resume your qigong practice and probably reap this benefit. However it's just that qigong is not recommended for people with psychotic disorders because of qi deviance. People with a history of a meditation practice have less to worry about from this symptom, they often can handle it. I've learned if I start hallucinating during my practice to regain focus and find "harmony in the dissonance".

I do meditation, too. It gives me insight and power over my illness. Recently this year I've picked up Tai Chi. It really helps with executive function and the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. I started 5 months ago, and am really starting to get good. I plan to start Yoga soon, as I hear it helps with executive function as well.

@Dustmann I did Qi Gong for awhile and that helped me with my negative symptoms. I'll look into Tai chi though. Sounds very helpful. I'd like to improve my executive functioning skills and much more. Thank you for the suggestion.

I got into gentle yoga and a good mental health support team. I highly recommend a strong support as the symptoms can get overwhelming quickly.
