I've found Dramamine helps me sleep but it's for emergencies only as I feel completely dead the next day. Anxiety medication from my doctor helped me sleep, beta blockers specifically. I try to avoid prescription sedatives I've seen my dad who has insomnia struggle as they only provide temporary relief and have so many side effects.
I'm not sure Melatonin is often recommended to be taken over an extended period of time because it can make insomnia worse..? I'm not positive though
Have you tried zzzquil?
do you have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or both?

One user mentioned that Trazodone, Diazepam, and Magnesium Glycinate helped them sleep better. They also suggested limiting caffeine intake, ensuring a comfortable sleep environment, taking a warm bath before bed, and using an app like Oak for soothing sounds to help relax the mind. However, it's important to consult with your new doctor about these suggestions and discuss what might work best for you.
