I'm newly diagnosed with CFS, but I've been dealing with the symptoms for quite awhile. Recently they've been getting worse and I have no energy for anything and my doctors won't give me any medication to help. Does anyone have any advice? I almost never make it to work, I can barely do basic necessities, and I feel like I'm drowning.

Keep fluids up. Perhaps raise legs when chilling out, to make it easier for your heart, this might help with circulation. I'd say you are in the stage of giving first aid to your Chronic Fatigue. Being comfortable and having comfort are necessary aids for you right now. Keep your mind going, playing games and watching movies to help calm your nerves. Unwind. And when your ready make a judgement on what second aid you need like moral support from someone always making you smile when you think of them. Third aid is going to work or calling in sick. Fourth aid is resting some more and keep resting until rehydrated. Then call or text a friend when you're up to it perhaps. There will be enough time to move through the motions and gain grip of the reigns and organise your affairs like insurance, stability and community. Maybe look into Hygge practice. It means cosy happiness and is practical in its approach. Let us know how you are travelling! X

I think the best advice I could give you is find someone who will listen to you. Itโs incredibly common (at least in my experience) to have providers be dismissive of your symptoms or how much your condition impacts your life. You just have to be an advocate for yourself and never take โnoโ for an answer. You deserve to feel listened to and heard 100% and I hope you can find the right person that will ๐ I wish you luck as you continue your journey

Ok I'll look for another doctor. Thanks!
Is that a primary care ? A functional MD is usually not covered by insurance but they look for root cause not covering up symptoms . Entirely different practice
I see Dr. Lucus again on Monday. I don't know what to tell her.
I would find a functional MD ASAP to be honest
I deal with this too. I was diagnosed this year with it, but doctors refuse to give me any new meds. Only pain killers and back pain meds. Nothing for my fatigue or dizziness. Nothing. I also have anemia so you know I'm a walking zombie.

Find a good functional medicine doctor so they can help find the root cause . Mine was a Epstein Barr infection but my primary care never even considered it . Iโm already starting to feel better after only a week of meds and adjusting supplements

It's really telling that that's so common ๐
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this..I had to find a psychiatrist because my np wouldn't prescribe anything to me as well ๐
Hi! I found โFrom Fatigued to Fantasticโ by Jacob Teitelbaum. It is a great resource and gave me a sense of support. ๐
@A_Delicate_Flower Thank you so much! ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. It's even worse when you feel like you don't have support from your Drs. When I was in your place, I ended up turning to alternative medicines to help me cope. I found a good chiropractor who also used homeopathy to treat me and I found a great acupuncturist. I also recently started with a PT who does fascial counterstain. I also had to change my diet. It's a pain but you now have to figure out what works for you. I didn't find any relief early on from traditional medicine. I hope you find something to give you some relief soon! We're all here for moral support.
