It’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to give your body the break it’s demanding. You’re not broken, you’re not weird, you don’t have to make excuses for this or send your body into overdrive to keep up with people who don’t deal with what you do. You’re whole, you’re healing, your body is special and requires special care. I’m proud of your resilience. One last thing I try when I want to be on task is falling in love with the process/journey it takes to achieve said goal than the instant gratification of achieving the goal itself if that makes sense. If it’s hard to start just count down from five turn your brain off and begin whatever it is you’re putting off. 30 seconds on before needing to rest is better than never starting at all out of frustration. Thinking takes way more energy. Brain off, enjoy process on, take a slower climb, and try to absorb and enjoy every bit of your experience on the way there. I hope something I’ve said helps💝💝💝 happy healing.
Also, what’s helped me the most in moments of unfocus is to acknowledge why it’s happening and remember that for me it’s totally natural!! Sometimes I don’t fight it but just work with it instead. Since then usually leaves quickly on its own or I can pick up on that objective or gain of thought with much more ease than before. Half the time the frustration of trying soOo hard to focus or keep up is what keeps me unfocused longer! In my opinion, the society is set up way more productivity, all work, grind mode, success-achieve-accomplish, driven than is even healthy! This is coming from a “type A” perfectionist oriented graduated with a 4.2 GPA all As in the semesters of college I managed before I fell ill, responsible i’s dotted t’s crossed kind of woman. Take your time love, it’s in our best interest.

For me personally, I have ADHD & Lupus which causes brain fog/problems with concentration/focusing. To help me with that, I take notes, avoid multi-tasking, set reminder alarms/timers & work on brain training. For Anxiety related issues, removing or reducing things (ex multi-tasking, social media, etc) that tends to overwhelm (overstimulate) the mind & using grounding techniques. I think it really depends on the kind of "focus" you need as well as what kind of illnesses you have that specifically affects focusing.
Remind y oh self your not alone , you can get through this even at your own pace , make little short goals your able to reach each day , write those goals down and when you achieve them Give yourself credit and appreciation, don’t beat yourself up over things out of your control , keep your mind focus on things that are positive that you enjoy doing
I like to make sure I schedule breaks! And be in an environment conducive to focus
i just recently discovered the Pomodoro technique and it's been kinda surprisingly helpful
