      He's your friend, not your lover. It's unlikely you'll be out of his life because he's talking to a girl. Honestly, this sounds a little unhealthy. You might want to distance yourself for a while to give yourself time to move on from your feelings

        @Eren2273 it most likely is unhealthy but he knows me too well. If I start to distance myself he would know because he knows if I don’t reply for a long time or air him something is wrong because he’s seen me at my lowest where I push people away

          @Notion If you distance yourself, I would not advocate that you lie about why you're distancing. Anyway, it's not unlike anyone else who is friends with someone who likes them, gay or straight, and the one they're attracted to ends up dating someone. It's a bummer for you that it's not you they're dating, but lots of people focus on the new person and a little less on friends. Just keep in touch, that's all.
