Should I Ask for an Autism Diagnosis?

I had this worry too. I had a lot of trauma from my family and my autistic brother. However, when I got my diagnosis a world unfolded and allowed me to accept myself. It also helped with school as it allowed for accommodations that I needed. It can come with negative side effects but it is what you need and want. You aren't wasting the doctor's time as technically you (or your insurance) is paying them for them to help you. You deserve the gift of knowing yourself.

You can never actually waste their time. They feel the satisfaction of helping you whether the test proves you are autistic or not.

Don’t worry about it if they are a true doctor they will help if not find a new doctor that will care if you can I don’t mean to be rude in anyway I’m sorry if it came across that way but I wasn’t trying to be rude truelly
