Is Botox Worth It for Chronic Migraines?

I am also 17 and I finally was able to get botox a few days ago but insurance fought on it and nurtec helped me a lot.

I got Botox once while I was pretty young and hated it, but I know a lot of people who it was a miracle for. For me what works best are the monthly injection like aimovig and emgality

I take self-injections called Emgality. It’s once a month and it seems to help quite a bit. I’ve also been taking sumatriptan for occasional headaches. Works wonders.

I have found that Botox helps me more than any other treatment that I’ve tried. I was really nervous the first time I got it but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Getting it can be uncomfortable and may hurt a tiny bit if your muscles are tight but I find that it is well worth it for the relief I get.
