Discovering Alike: How it's helping me connect with others

Instagram. I just started using it and I already feel a little bit more like I belong somewhere. In my life I don’t know other people with my diagnoses, and I’m glad people here are empathetic & have similar experiences.

I debated coming on here a bit. I haven’t asked a whole lot of questions, but just kinda hang around. I get nervous sometimes feeling like I’m competing with other people for illness counts (personal struggle), but I do think it’s a good app overall for helping.

I actually came across it on Instagram, helps me feel not so alone with my severe mental health. I feel like people don’t think about chronic mental illness a lot, and it’s nice feeling heard and validated
