For Strabismus, I got the surgery, and now my eyes are really itchy all the time after it being 11 months later. My doctor told me not to worry but should I be concerned?

I had strabismus surgery when I was young, however I do remember my eyes being extremely irritated and itchy, however it subsided fairly quickly. Seeming it’s been 11 months, I’d definitely keep pushing to get it checked out, or see a new doctor for a second opinion better yet.
