DNA Testing for Medication Optimization

I did, got my results in about a month if I’m remembering correctly. My families state insurance covered it, and it’s fairly accurate. The med I’m currently on was on the list and it doesn’t work anymore for me, so now I’m being weaned off and put on another med that was also on the list.

I have had this done. Unfortunately for me it didn’t work so well. I tried Zofran, Abilify, Lamictal and Cymbalta, which were all my strongest matches. Seroquel and Prozac work for me and those weren’t a very good match according to the test

I didn't know you could do that? Do you get it done at the doctor office?

my psychiatrist ordered this test for me and it definitely took a while. the one I took I believe was genesight. my insurance covered some of it but it was still decently expensive, and at least for me the results weren't super mind blowing. I apparently have good reactibility to most major medications, and therefore didn't glean much useful info from the test

I've never heard of this test before does it work for all types of illnesses? Is it expensive and lastly is it accurate?

Yes and I've had 3 of them all from different doctors it helps
