What is the meaning of my life?

I have been where you are many times. Sometimes I feel like I just exist, like a single speck in outer space, and I told this to a very good counselor years ago and he told me something that stuck with me all the years I have been fighting depression... even a single speck of grey dust in space will soon join with another and another and another till it soon becomes an asteroid, and then a meteor and then can become a shooting star, beautiful for all to see. Even when you feel alone, you are not. There are friends, parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. Also If you need someone to talk to there are local support groups, hotlines, if you don't like to talk to someone you can text 741741 and chat with a counselor. The secret of breaking yourself out of this mindset is to take one step, then two, then three...and so forth.

I don’t have any wife, kids, and I think the same, but I totally understand what your going through, I mean I feel like I sleep my days away from like 5am to 6pm and wake up and eat and then literally just get lost in my thoughts until I go to sleep again.
