I wondering how to tell if it is my lupus acting up or one of my other chronic illnesses? My diagnosis of lupus is new so I don’t know much about it. My other diagnosis’s are crohns, sjogrens, osteoarthritis in my knees.

My lupus diagnosis is new as well but I also have Sjogrens and Fibromyalgia along with arthritis in my joints. I notice my lupus flares I get migraines that last for a few days, more itchy than normal with Sjogrens, and also I get a tumid erythematosus rash on my face. Mostly the sides of my cheeks and chin. I don’t get the familiar butterfly rash. Where our autoimmune diseases/disorders run together it is so hard to tell which one is flaring. I just got finished with a lupus flare and was on prednisone which cleared things up but as soon as I stopped the prednisone I went into both Sjogrens and a Lupus flare. The reason I know they are both flaring is because I’m so dry my bowels are impacted, eyes are dry and gritty, lips are peeling and peeling plus I have the rash and joints ache so intense I can’t get comfortable. Sending you love and gentle hugs.
