I’m having trouble paying attention to detail and being an active listener at work. I think this may be related to me being on the autism spectrum. Does anyone have some advice for me?

Do you have any symptoms besides this? Like fatigue or muscle tenderness or pain? I have fibromyalgia and that's why I have memory and concentration problems
Are you allowed fidget toys? Silent ones, of course… but you can mess with them to calm your nerves/maintain focus whenever you’re being spoken to. I look at peoples lips a lot when they’re talking so it’s not like awkward staring into their eyes but I’m still engaged in what they’re saying. Maybe identify your triggers… what specifically is distracting you? Or are you just bored with what they’re saying? If there is something specific see if you can limit your exposure to it. This is something I haven’t really been able to get down lol, so maybe these are all silly suggestions! But hopefully you can try some things and just see what works for you
