Starting medication, should I be worried?

Um, we could use more info? What are your concerns as possible reasons for worry? Side effects? Unexpected change of behavior? Assuming side effects, since this is posted in GAD. If it's an anxiolytic, you usually have 4-6 weeks until you'll feel the effects at all as it builds up in your brain and begins to re-train your brain how to produce its chemicals. Then another 2ish weeks until you feel the full effects of that dose. Something that could help ease your worry would be to just look it up and read all the side effects so you know the presumed possibilities? I do this before taking ANYthing, whether I trust the clinician or not. The ones on the box ("box labels") are the worst effects that could happen, hence the FDA regulation to put it right there in plain sight like a pack of cigarettes. If you feel these, don't second-guess; go to the hospital immediately. Any of the other side effects, you can probably wait until your next chance to speak with your prescriber, and maybe shoot them a message through your HIPAA portal so you can be sure they'll hear your concerns ASAP. You should be fine, *better,* even šŸ˜‹

Well some medicine takes a while for your body to adjust too. Make sure you stay in touch with your therapist :) just keep a long how you have been feeling and see if you notice any good things
