I have finally started brushing my teeth and washing my face again after months of not doing so. Maybe a few days out of the month I would brush my teeth, while skipping washing my face altogether. I feel so much better about myself and not as insecure when I have to go into public for work

That's awesome I'm so proud of you!!! I know how hard that is. I struggle a lot with keeping up on my hygiene because of my depression too.
Yayy!! I'm so proud of you! It can be so hard to break out of the cycle of not doing things that seem so pointless, but once you do, it's such a great feeling!!

That’s great to hear! One trick that has helped me is to give myself a list of little goals to choose from. I don’t have to do ALL the items on my to do list, I can decide which ones I can do that day. If all I can do is wash my face and check the mail, awesome! If I feel up to emptying the dishwasher too, bonus!! By giving myself permission to choose from a list of options, I feel better about getting some things done and don’t beat myself up about not getting them all done. Pro tip? Sometimes I put things on the list I’ve already done that day so I get the dopamine rush of checking them off!
Ya it's a hard road for some reason but just do what you can, try to brush your teeth and wash your face after shower or before going to bed
