I try to use something weighted or that applies pressure to my body(if that isn’t too overwhelming as well) such as a weighted blanket, something that makes me feel secure. Wherever I am I try to separate myself from other people to find anywhere with absolute silence to apply all my focus on the silence to block everything else out, just anywhere you feel safe. I find that helps for me at least

When I start to become over stimulated, it's usually at work. So I'll play some music that I like, or do some dishes (I work in food service) and that helps me to calm down.

I often feel like I’m floating away, so heavy things help. Sometimes, lifting weights helps to “anchor” me to the earth surface, so to speak. Breathing and drinking water is helpful too
wow i relate sm to this!!!! yeah i usually run into my room and just lay in bed for a while until i feel better, my weighted blanket definitely helps a lot!!!! having lots of plushies u can hug too!! or maybe watch a comfort movie, but yeah its hell when u cant get out of the place that u r in, this happens a lot to me when im in class!! and i just basically have to go to the bathroom and scroll on my phone for a while so i can distract. but as soon as i come back into the classroom it all comes back so quickly /:
I have no advice, but just wanted to say, I could have written this and I realte. Struggling with the same each and every day. 😭
I get that way and it sucks because even the feeling of headphones on me bothers me so blocking it out with music isn’t an option, also start to loathe the feeling of my clothes on me but not like I can strip in public
I usually have to just go into my room and turn off the lights and just lay there in silence for about 30 minutes then I start to feel better.
