I tried laser, but many years ago as a teen—I had issues both with my skin tone/taking on color from sun (despite meticulous 100 SPF sunblock use) and also pain (even with numbing cream). That said I’ve known people who did it, recommend it highly, and didn’t have issues—though most did not live in Florida.

@aldrwytch Also, like I said, I was a teen. Today I might find it much more manageable but at the time it was horrible—not to start with, but after several sessions, since each session uses stronger laser than the last to remain effective.

Some people with PCOS have shared their experiences with laser and electrolysis for hair removal. One person mentioned that they tried laser hair removal but were not impressed with the long-term results, so they switched to electrolysis and have been happy with it. Another person shared that they had success with electrolysis treatments, which helped them regain self-confidence. However, some individuals found that laser treatment made their hair growth worse and are now considering electrolysis as a more permanent solution.
