hi! I'm new here and newly diagnosed with fibro I've been on prozac and Lamictal for years for ny depression and anxiety but now that I have a fibro dx I want to talk to my psych about trying something like Cymbalta. has anyone had any luck with meds like that? or have painkillers like gabapentin been more successful? I'm concerned it won't be as effective for my depression as my current meds

I had additional pain with Cymbalta but it seems to work for a lot of people

Thankfully, I somehow dodged that bullet. I had that problem with amitriptyline though

I’m currently doing a trial of cymbalta after like 5 years on Zoloft and I think cymbalta has actually made my pain worse. It might just be my personal reaction to it and I think it’s worth a try. I just know personally it’s not working for me which sucks

I personally had no luck on either but some people swear by them. You could trial it to see if it helps
