Breaking Free from My YouTube Addiction

Same since prob 13, i usually rewatch vids. Now its mostly tiktok and prob facebook with the vids and reels Theyre like breaks from stress yet wastes my time

I'am too. If it's not YouTube, it's Facebook reels. All day, every day. For me, it's mind numbing and a break from reality. Just basically no thought process brain dead videos so to speak. I know people put a lot of thought into their content but I don't gotta into watching it. So it relaxes me and gives me the break from over stimulation. But I've recently brought it up to a therapist... Hopefully SHE can stay on track to help me.

You need to turn off your phone/computer, or what you use to watch, and not touch it. Spend the day doing something like a hobby!

I watch YouTube a lot too.

Possibly try out née thinks to help distract you from day to day life, as by the sounds of it uts become your comfort blanket and are using it to escape reality.
