Anxiety affects me so deeply I hate it here- I just had a meeting via zoom and the whole time my teeth were chattering, my hands were shaking, I had trouble sitting still, and I felt super light-headed? How do I not get so anxious over such little things?? I feel like I’m going crazy sometimes.

You are not crazy! So many people struggle with anxiety ✋ there have been times I’ve fainted, thrown up, my voice cracks, and I shake really bad during zoom meetings. I usually lose feeling in my legs or start gagging right before important meetings. Some things that help me though include stimulating the vagus nerve I think is what it’s called - I put ice on my wrists or the back of my neck or I chew on ice before a meeting. Sometime I keep an ice pack on my lap or my chair during meetings as well. Sometimes I have trouble eating due to anxiety so I try to make smoothies or drink a plant protein shake or something but only during times of high anxiety such as zoom meetings or important calls as it is not a meal replacement but gives me enough energy. I try to always remind myself too that even if the worst happened it would still be okay I would still be alive and ok❤️ Another thing I do before calls/meetings is sometimes exercise this could just be jumping around the room a bit like a crazy person to get some of that nervous energy out LOL and also don’t be hard on yourself :) be gentle to yourself

I used to have severe panic attacks when I had meetings through zoom. I would freak out so badly at the thought of attending zoom meetings, I thought I would pass out. I think the key is to regularly expose yourself to situations outside of your comfort zone. Take baby steps; maybe attend a meeting with others and only stay for 10 minutes at first, then increasing to 20 minutes when that gets more comfortable. Most importantly, be kind to yourself. Allow yourself to feel anxious or embarrassed during a meeting. Realize that putting yourself out there in the face of your fears is, in itself, an admirable accomplishment that remarkably few can do.
