I’m Not sure parosmia really defines what I experience. From what I’ve researched it’s Phantosmia, which is the smelling of phantom scents. Anyone else?

@tara_kina I also smell a similar smell with stress. It's kind of interesting though because when I started taking antidepressants it more rarely. My smell issues first started with a flu like virus, before COVID was heard of.

Yes I have experienced phantosmia, along with other smell disorders. Do you have any other smelling issues? Their is a great Facebook group of people with phantosmia/parosmia. Do you know the cause of your problem?
@bane it’s almost always a sweet cigarette smoke smell, it only changed for a period of a couple months one times
@bane thanks for the reply! I have no clue. I’ve tried to trace it with different things that would come and go in my life like seasons of depression, swelling of my lymph nodes (specifically back of neck), intense stress, etc. but nothing is consistently causing it. Now that I’m older it happens a LOT less, but it began in high school.
