Desperate for Relief from Chronic Constipation

I was on Linzess for around a year and had constant diarrhea/urgent bathroom trips. Now I use either Miralax powder or Ducalax stool softener oral pills

Has anyone tried 1/4 tsp of Castor oil? If not, I recommend you try it. Start small at first when you have the evening off & see how it works. Get one that’s Hexane FREE & has decent reviews. 🤗

I have IBS-C. I take 4 stool softeners with stimulant daily or I will get severely constipated and end up with a diverticulitis flare up and soooooo sick. I have also taken milk of magnesia daily. But I have to take something every single day. I wish I could share better resolution. I know it’s so terrible.

Have you ever tried something like Miralax?

I'm on Linzess now. Can the Dr get a prior authorization to get it approved? I will warn you of my experience with the Linzess. The first week I get diarrhea from it but then after that my stools become normal and regular. It just usually takes a week to work itself out in my system! I hope they can get it approved. I also do enemas when I'm backed up bad. To get it loose and going again. Good Luck!
