Is it normal to be anxious about your heartbeat and if it is what kind of coping methods could you do?

It’s almost like we pay attention to it more even though it is normal to feel your heart beat. I like to focus on other noises when it is like this. Like rain sounds and water sounds. Something that diverts focus off the heart beat. Another thing that helps is to imagine I am laying on someone’s chest I love and I am listening to their heart. Kind of silly but it’s kind of soothing to create a different relationship to the sound.

Yes I have done this. Trying to keep busy and knowing it’s normal helps. It will pass

I have been anxious about my heart beat and know others that have also experienced this.
