has anyone had any experience using birth control to prevent hormonal cycles causing increased joint pain and dislocations? and if so is it worth it?

Yes and yes. Just be careful which one because some can make pors worse if you have that and some might make you gain a good chunk of weight which is obviously counterproductive. I've had some success with Kelnor but everyone is different.
