Quit my job because it was making me too stressed and depressed, but now I feel even more depressed since I don’t have a job and have to start the application and interview process all over again. Any tips for me? Should I just keep applying until I get a job I enjoy, or should I take what I can get just to have some income?

Oooh I feel this! The balance is so hard. I recently quit my job as a teacher, something I worked really hard to get to, but it was too much stress on my health (mentally and physically). I have what I would consider a mundane and unimportant job now… but it’s just a filler. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes a job is just a stepping stone.

I just signed up for Rover, it’s an app where people can book you and you can walk dogs, do drop in visits for animals or board someone’s dog at your house. It’s real easy to set up :)

Also keep a copy of your application and stuff that might help you in the interview. It will also be useful for future jobs

I would say it really depends how urgent your need for income is. I would personally find a list of jobs you think you would be okay with, definitely dont be afraid to ask questions about the job you might have some difficulties with. Just remember there is nothing wrong with applying to a job until you find one you like, but depending on how much you need the money you might want to keep one If you dont like one you can keep it and set up an interview and then see if you got it or not and then quit the 1st one
