ADD is an older term. I have ADD but the official diagnosis is ADHD inattentive subtype both ADD and ADHD are in my records since when I was getting diagnosed ADD was still a thing. Also when I was a teenager when I had more anxiety I had some IBS symptoms. I can tell you that if you have ADHD getting the ADHD treated will help with the depression and anxiety. I used to have some anxiety issues related to ADHD and meds Helped with that and I don’t get any anxiety or stomach problems.

I have all of that except for PPD. Here for you if you need to talk! This may sound strange but I'd focus on taking care of your conditions that you're sure of having first. Not because you don't have ADD, you might, but it'll be easier to manage if you're not juggling so many things 💕

Agree with UnluckyUnicorn. If they say ADD, that's just really unprofessional, because the new term is meant to be more accurate/inclusive. Other than that.... Trust me from experience, if you get professional help (like, psychiatrist, therapist you comfortable with) you will get better. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, just keep focusing on it till you get there.

Hi! If your looking to be officially diagnosed I recommend not trusting a psychiatrist that calls it ADD. It has been officially recognised as ADHD collectively since 1980s. It has three presentations (inattentive, hyperactive, and combined). I say this so you get the best possible care and have doctors that are up to date. I hope you find something that works for you ❤️
