How do you guys control hyperfixations?? My parents always found it so annoying but I am constantly hyperfixating on foods and when I can't have them I literally freak out and become obsessed with them until I get them. I literally salivate like a dog and get convinced i'm starving when i'm literally fine. Does anyone have it figured out?
I don’t believe that we can control it. What tells you you’re fine when you’re convinced you’re starving?
The fact that I eat regular meals every day if not more than I need
you may be subconsciously getting extra dopamine from eating, and that may be what’s causing you to want to eat more. I’ve been there, I didn’t really get what was going on or why I wanted to eat more even when I was full. It seems to be more common in people with adhd
